Belgiantapestries.com was founded by Tom Deleenheer. For 15 years long, Tom had a belgian lace & tapestry store in the centre of Brussels, Belgium. He is the fourth generation of a belgian lacemaking family. A first website www.belgian-lace.com was launched back in 1999, the early years of the internet. Three years later followed www.belgiantapestries.com. The website wants to promote the real belgian tapestry product as there is a lot of fake on the market. 

As we are very close to the source (Belgium is the cradle of tapestry weaving), we can offer the best prices for top quality tapestry products. All our products are woven on modern jacquard looms that produce the finest gobelin quality, as opposed to weavers that produce wall tapestries in upholstery fabric. Our tapestries show the finest details in colours that are very close to the original.
